I recently saw the french film The Vanishing taht was remade into the crappy Keifer Sutherland/Jeff Bridges movie. That's where I got "banality of evil" for my piece.
Being buried alive is what that French film is about. It's so terrifying. The ultimate horror because of how hopeless you feel.

There is nothing worse than the idea of being buried alive. Pure terror. I, too, felt the panic.
